Lemaire Makes Objects for the Home
Lemaire's collaboration series connecting artists, artisans, and space.
Lemaire has unveiled three trays. Not clothing, not bags, but handcrafted jade porcelain objects.
Starting with the Fall/Winter 2026 season, Lemaire is rolling out a collaboration series with artists and makers whose work is closely tied to everyday life. Through practical objects designed for use in Lemaire boutiques, the brand expresses its interest in craftsmanship and the space of the home. The first project is "Gathering Plates."

A New Project That Began with a Tray
"Gathering Plates" was created through a collaboration between AiHeMei (Xu Jing), a photographer and painter based in Chengdu, China, and ceramicist Li Qing.
Together, they created three jade porcelain trays themed around harvest and the changing of the seasons. Li Qing handled the forming, drying, polishing, glazing, and firing, while AiHeMei added paintings that abstractly reinterpret plant forms to the ceramic surface.

Laid flat, they can be used as trays; stood upright, they become objects in their own right. Each piece also bears the signatures of both artists.
Rather than a lifestyle product simply carrying a fashion brand's name, it's a structure that brings the two creators' own ways of working into Lemaire's project.

An Approach to "Everyday Life" Beyond Clothing
Lemaire introduced this project not as a one-off collaboration but as the first project in a new series. Through objects that can be used directly in its boutiques, the brand has extended its gaze to the spaces of the home and everyday life.
What's notable here isn't simply the addition of a new category called a home collection. It's closer to a way of carrying Lemaire's perspective on craftsmanship, materials, and functionality into another area of life. Through a single tray, the brand has broadened the range of everyday life it engages with, more than the range of its products.

A New Experience That Begins in the Boutique
"Gathering Plates" is being presented at Lemaire boutiques on Wukang Road, in Beijing, and in Chengdu. Rather than being organized as a separate home collection, the products were conceived as objects used directly in the stores.
The trays are both products for sale and elements that shape Lemaire's spaces. It's a way of showing, within the boutique, not only clothing and bags but also the everyday scenes the brand proposes.

Projects That Grow from a Single Collaboration
Another aspect worth noting in this project is the way the collaboration is carried forward.
Introducing "Gathering Plates" as its first project, Lemaire plans to continue presenting objects for everyday life and space with artists and makers. AiHeMei and Li Qing, who took part in this project, are also creators who have each built their own practice in painting and ceramics.
In the end, rather than quickly adding new categories, Lemaire has chosen to gradually broaden the territory the brand engages with through collaborations with creators.

💡 EDITORIAL SMALL TALK
Lemaire's "Gathering Plates" is less a project that added a single tray and more a case of broadening the range of everyday life the brand looks at.
Starting from clothing and extending to objects, spaces, and collaborations with creators, Lemaire is carrying its distinct aesthetic into other areas.
When looking at a fashion brand's expansion, it's worth considering not just how many new categories it creates, but how naturally it can extend its existing brand language into other areas.
