SATISFY, the Brand That Turned Running into Fashion
SATISFY’s path from running apparel to its first Paris store.
In September 2026, French running brand SATISFY opened its first permanent store in Paris's Marais district, 11 years after its founding in 2015. Having combined functional running apparel with subculture aesthetics, SATISFY is widening its brand touchpoints by expanding from apparel into footwear and eyewear, and now into physical space. From a T-shirt full of holes to its first store in Paris, we look at how SATISFY has grown.

A Brand That Began with a T-Shirt Full of Holes
SATISFY was founded in Paris in 2015 by Brice Partouche. Drawing on his experience creating the denim brand April77, he brought inspiration from skateboarding and punk rock culture to running apparel.
The product that best shows the brand's direction is the MothTech T-shirt. Inspired by the holes in vintage band T-shirts, it applies perforated details to areas that need ventilation. Built on high-performance fabrics from Italy and Japan and European production, the brand emphasizes both function and design.

Running as Culture, Not Just Records
SATISFY moves away from a running culture centered on records and performance, extending running into an everyday experience. Its signature community program is "LSD (Long Slow Distance)" running, a gathering focused on the experience of running slowly together rather than competing for times, held in cities including Paris, New York, and London.
The first LSD run in Seoul took place in November 2025, with founder Brice Partouche joining in person. In 2021, the brand presented a collaboration collection with alternative rock band Sonic Youth, using music and culture beyond running as brand touchpoints.

A Product Range Widened Through Collaboration
Through collaborations with a range of brands, SATISFY has extended running into footwear and eyewear. It has run footwear projects with Salomon, Norda, HOKA, and Crocs, and continues a collaboration with Oakley that combines functional materials with eyewear.
While broadening its product range through collaborations, it has also moved into developing its own products. After launching its first trail running shoe in 2025, it signed a multi-year partnership with adidas in 2026. The collaboration collection, combining performance technology with SATISFY's distinctive design, is an attempt to expand both running functionality and brand identity.

Offline Expansion, Starting in Paris
The first permanent store in Paris, which opened on September 4, 2026, consists of two spaces facing each other across rue de Saintonge. "Supply" at No. 47 sells apparel and footwear, while "Fuel Station" at No. 54 offers functional drinks and nutrition for runners. The design was handled by architecture firm Ciguë.
The store has almost no product descriptions. It was designed so that customers ask staff about products directly and receive guidance based on running experience. Fuel Station also serves as the meeting point for regular LSD runs. It's an approach that uses the store as a space where runners meet and connect, going beyond selling products.

Growth and Distribution Structure
Direct sales account for about 70% of SATISFY's total revenue, with the rest distributed through a select group of multi-brand retailers. Having grown around its own online channels and a curated wholesale network, the brand extended its offline touchpoints by opening its first permanent store in Paris in September 2026.

EDITORIAL SMALL TALK
SATISFY doesn't describe running through records alone. Its design, which began with a T-shirt full of holes, carried over into a subculture aesthetic, and LSD runs and its permanent store in Paris have become additional touchpoints for experiencing the brand.
Designing not just the products it sells but the environment where runners gather and spend time: SATISFY's next challenge is whether it can maintain this brand experience across more markets.
